It’s December and visions of sugarplums are dancing in our heads at cookie|box|. Just like those sweet, rosy-cheeked children in Clement Moore’s famous Twas the Night Before Christmas, we dream of delicious treats. The best part is that when we wake up, we can bake those dreams come true!
For the holiday season, the cookie bakers + magic makers at cookie|box| are making our most favorite cookies and treats for your enjoyment. Special recipes made only this time of year, like Cornelia, an elegant cookie whose crunchy toasted hazelnut exterior yields to a chewy almond and cornmeal center sparked with little jewels of candied orange. We think Virginia, the young lass who lamented Santa’s existence, would be pleased with her namesake, a bittersweet chocolate + white chocolate chunk peppermint brownie. A highlight of any day in the kitchen is when we get to decorate Holly, a citrus shortbread cut into all sorts of holiday shapes then hand painted with fairytale colors of icing and dusted with sparkly sugar.
